About Dr. Kim Chen, MD, CCFP, FCSP
Dr Chen originated from Taipei, Taiwan. At age 15, he immigrated to Calgary with his family.
In 1999, Dr Chen received the honour of Calgary Immigrant of Distinction Award.
With multiple scholarships, Dr. Chen studied three years at University of Toronto majoring in Molecular Genetics, before gaining admission to Queen's University Medical School at age 21, amongst the youngest of his class.
Dr. Chen completed his residency training in University of Calgary by 2008, and started practicing medicine in Vancouver as Attending Physician at UBC Hospital Transitional (Rehabilitation) Care Unit and as family physician in Richmond and Burnaby.
Starting September 2014, Dr. Chen entered the field of Phlebology (Treatment of Veins) with the guidance of renowned surgeon Dr. George Robb, working at Central Vein Clinic near Oakridge mall, Vancouver.
Dr Chen had diligently participated in ongoing training with Canadian Society of Phlebology, and attained the certification of "Fellow of the Canadian Society of Phlebology (FCSP) in October 2016.
In June 2018, Dr Chen received the 10 Year Service Award from Vancouver Coastal health for his services to VCH Hospitals and Community.
In August 2019, Dr Chen moved his vein practice to #101-4900 Kingsway, Burnaby, operating as "MD Vein Clinic".
陳醫師於2006年醫學士畢業，以第一志願進入卡加立大學醫學院家庭醫學科， 在Foothills Hospital, Peter Lougheed Hospital, Rockyview Hospital 進行全科訓練。
2008年陳醫師順利取得加拿大醫師執照 及 家庭醫學院院士證照，同年秋季搬至溫哥華發展。
陳醫師在2008年 應聘為UBC大學附屬醫院主治醫師, 同時也在列治文市 Lansdowne Mall 及 Ironwood Mall 看診。
2011年二月, 陳醫師應邀移至本拿比 Metrotown 區的 Kingsway Medical Clinic 看診。
2014年九月, 陳醫師開始與著名血管外科醫師 Dr. George Robb 合作, 在 Central Vein Clinic 致力於靜脈曲張的診斷及治療。
同年 陳醫師也加入了加拿大靜脈學會 及 加拿大醫美學會, 參加了多項國際等級的醫美研討會.
2016年五月, 陳醫師開始提供醫療美容服務.
2016年十月, 陳醫師榮獲加拿大靜脈學會院士
2018年六月, 陳醫師榮獲 Vancouver Coastal Health 頒發10年服務獎.
2019年八月, 陳醫師在 #101-4900 Kingsway, Burnaby 開業 "MD Vein Clinic"
